Your role
Do you have a solid track record in cross-product legal and regulatory frameworks? Are you interested in taking your Law expertise in-house?
We're looking for a Sr Lawyer for:
- review, negotiate and draft legal agreements for investment banking transactions related to capital markets deals, NDAs, indemnification agreements, advisory services agreements, brokerage and give-up agreements, complex Global Markets transactions and new products, and others.
- get involved in all phases of public offerings, such as due diligence and financial audit calls, drafting sessions, legal analysis, review and discussion of agreements, comfort letters, steering calls, pre-filing calls, etc., working closely with internal stakeholders.
- support demands related to Supply Chain.
- assist respective unit(s) in all legal matters through systematic and continuous involvement with and support of internal stakeholders to identify, assess, prevent, mitigate or manage risk.
- advise and report legal risks of the banking activities.
Your team
You'll be working on the IB Legal team based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Together - and in coordination with offshore members of the Legal team -, we provide advice and support in all legal matters to our Investment Banking at UBS BB.
Your expertise
- lawyer bachelor's degree (OAB certificate)
- +5 years in a similar role within banking, capital markets or M&A industry
- knowledge about corporate governance
- ideally advanced English skills
- excellent communication skills and ability to interact with different colleagues, clients, and stakeholders
- ability to advise and communicate effectively with senior management, members of the Board of Directors, and Regulators
