Modak is a US-based fintech platform leveraging the power of finance and technology to empower kids and teens to reach their full potential. We pursue this mission by offering a gamified fintech and learning ecosystem - with Visa debit cards, family checking accounts, payment applications, enabled by AI-powered infrastructure and embedded with financial literacy. We are built for scale and security using leading technologies and best practices that power tens of thousands of API calls per day (and scaling rapidly).

We are a global company, with teams across the US, Latam and India. We do in person retreats every 3-4 months. What You'll Do

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance mobile applications.

- Architect long-term solutions with reliability, security, and scalability in mind.

- Seamlessly integrate third-party APIs and services.

- Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to bring features to life.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a positive, growth-oriented team culture.

- Drive quality through best practices in testing, automation, and agile workflows.

What We're Looking For

- Strong experience developing and maintaining mobile applications at scale.

- Proficiency in React Native, and hands-on experience with at least one native platform (e.g., iOS - Swift, or Android - Kotlin/Java).
- Solid understanding of mobile app architecture and performance optimization.

- Track record of delivering user-facing features and improving app reliability.

- Experience writing and maintaining automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end).
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern CI/CD pipelines.

Nice-to-Haves (Bonus Points)
- Experience developing native modules via the React Native Bridge or Fabric architecture.

- Previous work on consumer-facing fintech, edtech, or gamified platforms.
