Our client is a Hong Kong-based multinational company seeking to hire an experienced Trading Director to be stationed in Brazil. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior professional with a strong background in the mining and/or food trading sectors to drive our business development and manage daily trading operations across South America.

The Trading Director will take a leadership role in developing new business opportunities, building and nurturing relationships with key customers and partners, and overseeing all trading functions to ensure the success and profitability of our operations in the region. As the primary representative of our company in South America, you will be responsible for both expanding our market presence and ensuring operational excellence. The successful candidate will be expected to liaise closely with our headquarters in Hong Kong and report directly to a senior manager based in Hong Kong or China.

Fluency in Portuguese and English is essential for this role, as is the ability to communicate effectively across diverse business cultures. Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese will be considered a strong advantage, given our organization's cross-border context. The ideal candidate will possess at least eight years of proven working experience, particularly within the mining industry and/or food trading sectors. Strong business development skills, problem solving abilities, and expertise in cross-border trade are critical to success.
