We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) to enhance and support our cloud infrastructure.
This role focuses on creating, optimizing, and securing scalable environments to enable cloud-native applications and services.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain resilient, scalable cloud infrastructure using Google Cloud Platform
- Oversee GKE clusters with an emphasis on scaling, workload orchestration, and performance optimization
- Migrate GKE clusters to Workload Identity to enhance security and streamline resource access control
- Configure network systems and enforce cloud security policies, including firewalls and IAM protocols
- Implement secure CI/CD pipelines by adopting container security best practices
- Optimize architecture for reliability, scalability, and low-latency operations
- Collaborate closely with development teams to deploy cloud-native application solutions
- Monitor cloud ecosystems to anticipate and resolve performance challenges or failures
Requirements
- 5+ years of related experience in designing and managing scalable Google Cloud Platform environments
- Expertise in GKE and Kubernetes operations, including cluster scaling, node pools, autoscaling, workload orchestration, and Helm
- Proficiency in Docker and registry management tools, such as Artifact Registry
- Knowledge of IAM, Workload Identity, VPC design, private clusters, and advanced GKE security practices
- Familiarity with load balancing, DNS configurations, NAT usage, and VPN solutions for secure networking
- Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code solutions, including Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or similar tools
- Competency in applying cloud security strategies, such as encryption, secrets management, and compliance considerations
