Job Summary:
Flowserve is seeking a
Cost Engineer
to work in the cost estimation area, preparing cost analyses and related technical documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Support the CommOps department in preparing cost estimates for equipment and special parts, always meeting deadline requirements and/or aligning priorities according to the importance of opportunities.
• Work closely with the Procurement team to identify the best supplier options from a commercial standpoint, always aiming to improve cost competitiveness.
• Collaborate with the Production team to optimize internal manufacturing times in order to enhance competitiveness.
• Keep cost estimation tools updated for the main product lines.
• Maintain the cost system database (Access) updated, which provides information to the Costing and Aftermarket departments.
• Keep the "IN x OUT" spreadsheet updated, providing support regarding current costs and margins to the Procurement, Projects, and Industrial Engineering departments.
• Ensure all cost estimation documents are properly stored in electronic media within the department's designated directories.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Ability to perform technical calculations for part weights/areas.
• Knowledge of taxation calculations.
• Familiarity with procedures and standards (API, ABNT, ANSI, etc.).
• Intermediate English proficiency.
• Strong knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office package.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Access.
