Role Purpose
The Payroll Technician will provide specialist payroll support within the oil and gas sector, handling both onshore and offshore Brazilian payroll. The role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing. The technician will work closely under the direction of the Payroll Advisor in Brazil and liaise with the global payroll team.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Calculations & Review
Brazilian onshore and offshore payroll processing
Vacation accrual and usage
Terminations and final settlements
Alimony/deduction calculations
Eventual bonuses - System Transactions & Maintenance
Employee transfers and promotions in RM (HR/payroll system)
Leave of absence administration
Loan processing (e.g., eConsignado)
Timesheet management for onshore and offshore staff - Compliance & Reporting
e-Social submissions
DIRF reporting
Ensuring payroll compliance with Brazilian labor regulations - Administrative Support
Responding to payroll-related inbox queries
Supporting the Payroll Advisor and global payroll team on ad-hoc tasks
Reporting Structure
Reports to Ewaider Advisor Manager, Brazil
Works closely with the global payroll team and offshore/onshore operational teams
Requisitos:
Skills & Experience Preferences
Prior experience in Brazilian onshore/offshore payroll, preferably in oil & gas
Experience with payroll systems, RM Labore and Dominio (Thomsons Reuters), being an important preference
Familiarity with Brazilian regulatory reporting (e-Social, DIRF)
Strong numerical, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills
Excellent communication in Portuguese with English being advantageous
Ability to collaborate with global payroll team and local HR/ Finance.
Working Arrangement
Office-based: Curitiba/PR or Rio de Janeiro, availabity for tavels is mandatory
