senior accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team in Brazil. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), local tax regulations, and extensive experience in preparing financial reports, managing intercompany transactions, and handling budgeting and cash flow analysis. The Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the financial decision-making process for the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain financial records in compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of intercompany financial reports and reconciliation.
Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and cash flow statements.
Manage and process provisions and debt-related transactions.
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and coordinate with tax authorities for the filing of tax returns.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights for management decision-making.
Monitor and control company expenses to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors for year-end audits.
Support financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities.

Requisitos:

Fluency in Portuguese and English; Spanish is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and Brazilian tax regulations.
Proven experience in accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting.
Experience with intercompany reporting and reconciliation.
Solid understanding of cash flow management, provisions, and debt management.
Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a multinational company.
Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.
