Since 2002 our client has been helping companies file payroll taxes, providing employee self-service portals, and meeting many other needs. Most of the solutions work by integrating directly into the accounting systems that are already in place, such as the Microsoft Dynamics line and many other ERPs.


Job Summary

The Senior Technical Project Manager will oversee major technology initiatives across the organization, including system integrations, enterprise migrations, and modernization efforts.

This role is a strategic technical leadership position, combining architecture-level thinking with hands-on program delivery and cross-functional coordination.

This role will mainly coordinate one major initiative and collaborate across multiple stakeholders rather than formally lead direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic project planning and architecture (defining system integrations, technology stack decisions)

  • Stakeholder management (CEO, department heads, external vendors, C-suite presentations)

  • Major project ownership (mailservice, D365 to new system migration strategy, etc, broader IT scope)

  • Technical decision-making and problem-solving (build vs buy, architecture trade-offs, security considerations)

  • Mentoring and guiding the junior PM (work item reviews, project approach, career development)

Qualifications and Job Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Technical Project Management, Technical Program Management, or enterprise IT delivery roles

  • Proven experience leading large-scale system integrations, platform modernization, or ERP/CRM migration projects

  • Strong understanding of system architecture, solution design concepts, and build-vs-buy decision-making

  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including pipelines, branching strategies, and release workflows

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with C-suite executives, department heads, and external vendors
