THE OPPORTUNITY.

We are hiring a Mid-Level Backend Software Engineer to our Marketing Analytics Integration team in Brazil (Remote) This is a Remote – Brazil position, meaning you can work from anywhere within the country. Please note that this role is only open to candidates in Brazil.

MEP is responsible for enabling and maximizing Marketing efforts through technology and product integrations. Our goal is uncover new growth opportunities through analyses; determine the best infrastructure and processes for growth. We work to Optimize traffic to B2B and B2C sign-up/purchase conversion with an experiment-first approach, fresh and engaging web content, funnel paths and personalization. We also work providing platform and integration by combining marketing and product data from different sources to create a unified and consistent view acting as enablers to fulfill Marketing to work with segmented pipelines.

Marketing Analytics Platform team is in charge of creating data products such as Customer Data Platform (CDP) and data pipelines focused on enabling Marketing campaigns, Attribution model and analytics insights.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Follow best and secure coding practices according to guidelines and handbooks, with minimal to no support.
  • Keep code simple, and proactively manage and raise awareness of technical debts.
  • Proactively document solutions and lead RFCs and PRDs
  • Identify code improvement opportunities for simple optimization and reliability, with guidance.
  • Instrument code for observability and/or auditability.
  • Know test frameworks and include basic security tests. Whenever you go through code, you leave it better tested and organized.

WHO YOU ARE

  • You are a technical professional with a passion for software and product development
  • You are accountable for your decisions and possess a high level of ownership over the products you are delivering.
  • You are proactive, innovative, and data-driven, value facts and data when making product decisions.
  • Expertise with at least one or two programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Python, Ruby, JavaScript or Golang with a strong preference given to Golang
  • Experience dealing with event-driven architectures and message brokers such as RabbitMQ, KAFKA, ActiveMQ, etc and in depth understanding of their use cases and pitfalls;
  • Familiar with concepts such as DDD, SOLID, Design Patterns distributed systems and architecture. Capable of understanding pitfalls and anticipating common failure modes of a microservice environment;
  • Team player with type "A" attitude
  • Experienced in implementing prototypes
  • Strong communication skills: able to communicate effectively with technical and non technical stakeholders in English and Portuguese;
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience;
