Role Overview:

The company is seeking an experienced iOS & Android Engineer to drive the evolution, performance, and stability of their mobile applications. Operating in a hybrid environment where native apps integrate deeply with web views, this role focuses on improving native functionality, maintaining compatibility across OS updates, and ensuring seamless user onboarding flows. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to implement features end-to-end, resolve platform-specific issues, optimize device performance, and enhance analytics accuracy. This role is ideal for an autonomous, detail-oriented engineer who thrives in fast-paced technical environments and enjoys solving complex mobile ecosystem challenges.

Your Impact::

You will ensure smooth user experiences by improving app stability, responsiveness, and reliability across devices. Your work will directly support higher onboarding completion rates, accurate analytics tracking, and successful feature rollouts tied to business-critical mobile engagement. You will help minimize downtime caused by OS or SDK changes, reduce funnel drop-off, strengthen push notification delivery, and optimize deep linking behavior. Your ability to maintain high technical quality will enable the product and growth teams to make informed decisions and accelerate mobile user acquisition and retention.

Core Responsibilities:

Mobile App Development & Optimization – 40%:

• Enhance and optimize mobile applications built with native web view integrations.
• Implement and refine native features such as alerts, modals, and permission flows.
• Improve performance across device types, OS versions, and varying hardware constraints.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks affecting responsiveness and user experience.

Onboarding Funnel & Analytics – 25%:

• Improve onboarding flows to reduce user drop-off and enhance conversion rates.
• Ensure analytics and advertising SDKs accurately track onboarding events.
• Partner with product teams to validate funnel data accuracy and completeness.
• Diagnose discrepancies between client-side and server-side event tracking.

Platform Maintenance & Upgrades – 20%:

• Manage app updates in response to iOS and Android OS changes.
• Maintain compatibility with evolving SDKs, frameworks, and device hardware updates.
• Resolve issues introduced by vendor, OS, or platform upgrades.
• Conduct proactive maintenance to prevent app-breaking incidents.

Deep Linking & Push Notifications – 15%:

• Improve push notification handling and routing logic.
• Strengthen deep linking to ensure users land on the correct in-app destination consistently.
• Test behavior across multiple device models and OS versions.
• Troubleshoot routing inconsistencies and implement robust fail-safes.

Requirements:

Must-Haves (Required):

• 4+ years of professional iOS and Android mobile development experience.
• Proficiency in Objective-C, Swift, Java, and Kotlin.
• Experience working with web view–style or hybrid app architectures (native web views, React Native, Flutter, etc.).
• Strong English communication skills.
• Ability to independently translate product requirements into fully developed features.
• Proficiency with Git, GitHub, and terminal-based workflows.

Nice-to-Haves (Preferred):

• Experience with mobile advertising SDKs (Applovin, Moloco, Appsflyer).
• Ownership of multiple mobile devices for debugging and testing.
• Familiarity with mobile gaming ecosystems or consumer mobile products.
