We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Manager to join our Inbound Operations team. The ideal candidate will lead and develop a team of associates while driving operational excellence in our fast-paced fulfillment center environment.

Key job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of associates and multiple Process Assistants
  • Drive operational performance to meet productivity, quality, and safety goals
  • Analyze performance metrics and implement action plans for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures
  • Execute standard operating procedures while identifying process improvements
  • Manage labor planning and staffing requirements
  • Conduct performance reviews and develop talent within the team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize operations
  • Handle employee relations and maintain positive team morale
  • Support inventory accuracy and control initiatives

A day in the life

Working Conditions

  • Fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Extended periods of standing and walking (7-12 miles daily)
  • Variable temperature conditions
  • Must be able to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Overtime may be required during peak seasons

Physical Demands

  • Regular walking and standing (up to 10-12 hours per shift)
  • Ability to climb stairs
  • Frequent lifting and bending
  • Use of computers and mobile devices

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • Experience in employee and performance management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with performance metrics and process improvement and Lean techniques
