Primary purpose of the position: 

As part of the Network team, this network engineer role is responsible for delivering both business and IT-for-IT solutions – identifying innovative technical solutions, solving complex problems, and providing new vision to existing solutions.  The right candidate is a technical expert in multiple networking technologies (LAN, WAN, Voice, Video, Wireless, TCIP/IP protocols and services) and is responsible for technical design, system configuration, planning, and implementation of critical solutions with a focus on exceptional customer service. 

Essential Responsible Areas:

• Analyze business requirements and create detailed specifications in compliance with infrastructure and security operations architecture to solve complex business problems.
• Design and operate in complex environments, including high-availability internet datacenters, Cisco CUCM, MS Teams Voice, centralized wireless networks, and SD-WAN/SSE networks.
• Collaborate with the infrastructure architecture team to design sustainable solutions for implementation, and then transition them to the operations team for ongoing support;
• Adhere to all security best practices, as well as governance and compliance regulations such as HIPAA, SOX, GDPR, among others;
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures and other necessary project documentation;
• Adjust operational environment parameters as part of project delivery to ensure the efficient use of existing resources;
• Recommend improvements to optimize the current environment;
• Demonstrate initiative in problem-solving, balancing conflicting requirements in collaboration with other teams;
• Provide Tier 3 (infrastructure) support, following defined escalation processes;
• Perform all activities in alignment with ITIL best practices for Incident, Change, Request, and Problem Management.

Position Requirement & competencies:

Mandatory

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field
• Cisco VoIP and / or MS Teams telephony experience: Unified Communications, Microsoft Teams, QoS for VoIP
• DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, and Microsoft application services
• Familiarity with firewall technologies

Desirable

• CCNP/E Enterprise certification a plus
• Experience with SD-WAN and SSE technologies preferably Cisco and Netskope
• F5 or similar load balancer knowledge
• Experience with mobility technologies: cellular, wireless, DAS
• Experience in driving technology solutions in a large corporate environment with multiple domains and 10k+ user base.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Location: São José dos Campos/SP (GBS)
• Hybrid On-Site Work Environment: Based in São José dos Campos/SP, this position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three (3)days per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). 
• Schedule: 8:00 AM to 17:00 PM
