Role Overview:
As part of a rapidly growing engineering team in LATAM, we are looking to hire an Engineering Manager to contribute to our dynamic and innovative projects. We are looking for someone who is ready for the challenge, is solutions-oriented, and thinks out of the box. Responsibilities:
- Technical Excellence: Lead by example in software engineering best practices. Provide hands-on technical guidance and mentorship to a team of engineers. Oversee the architecture, planning, and execution of complex projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and high-quality delivery.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to translate product vision into robust, scalable technical solutions. Foster a collaborative environment to drive efficient product development from ideation to launch.
- Engineering Leadership: Proactively identify technical risks and roadblocks, and implement mitigation strategies. Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance within the team.
- People Development: Recruit, grow, and retain top engineering talent. Provide coaching, performance feedback, and career development opportunities to help team members thrive and contribute effectively to the organization.
To be successful you will need to have:
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role and proven track record of successful projects.
- Technical proficiency: Strong knowledge in scalable software application design, API design, and design patterns. Familiarity with modern architectures and frameworks especially micro services, event driven, serverless, node, typescript, nestjs, lambdas, react, micro frontends etc.
- Problem solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a passion for troubleshooting and debugging.
- Experience in Credit Cards, Payments and AWS certification would be an advantage.
