Exactly Labs is hiring a software engineer to help architect applications for greenfield products / products written from scratch. We're looking for an individual who prides themselves in building great technology and has a passion for architecting / building great software with a strong attention to detail.

We're also looking for an individual who is interested in building a team and helping set the initial culture for our new organization. We hope you're able to help us interview, hire and train the next few employees.

This would be a long-term role with room to grow professionally. We are a new company and there will be room to take on other responsibilities as are of interest to you.

About Exactly Labs

We are a new, boutique, software consultancy focused on building products and technology from scratch. We have a strong focus on working on innovative new software over working on legacy software. We prefer to work with clients who focus on social good such as healthcare and education. We also strongly believe our work is only as good as our team and our employees' needs are one of our highest priorities.

Exactly Labs brings together a wealth of prior technology startup experience. It's founder previously started ElasticBox (Acquired by CenturyLink), Raveld (Acquired by Apptio), HealthSherpa , still private, sold 2.5 million health insurance policies last year), and BloomText , still private, more than 1,300 customers). Given our experience, we can select the types of clients we work with.

We hope to work with individuals who are excited to join a small, experienced, team where they can have a big impact.

Responsibilities

  • Build consumer facing mobile and desktop software from scratch
  • Introduce new frameworks and patterns that help accelerate future development
  • Work closely with design to implement perfect experiences
  • Help interview and hire future software developers

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years software development experience
  • Have experience with web development technologies such as Rails, React, , other platforms OR experience with mobile development such as Swift and Kotlin
  • Have curiosity around new technologies and must have experience making decisions for how to best build an application. Doesn't need to be told specifically what to build.
  • Have deep experience with building user-facing applications
  • Have experience coordinating with a team
  • Ideally have some experience with backend technologies
  • A willingness to learn and build in completely new frontend technologies as projects may require

Salary: 5,500 USD per month

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From R$29,641.15 per month
