Location and Flexibility

This role can be fully remote for candidates based in Brazil, due to team distribution and occasional in-person opportunities. If you are based in São Paulo or Porto Alegre, you are welcome to work from one of our offices on a flexible schedule.

The Opportunity

As a Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer on our team, you'll design, develop, and deliver machine learning solutions, decipher loosely defined problems using complex datasets, and determine appropriate analytical and modeling techniques. You'll analyze structured and unstructured data, establish automated processes for large-scale modeling, perform exploratory analysis, and collaborate with peers on data acquisition and exploration, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership and urgency.

Responsibilities
  • Work on all aspects of the design, development and delivery of machine learning enabled solutions for our clients
  • Come up with solutions to loosely defined business problems by leveraging pattern detection over complex datasets across multiple platforms
  • Establish efficient, automated processes for large-scale modeling
  • Become part of a highly skilled and geographically distributed team
  • Collaborate with peers on problem definitions, data acquisition, data exploration, visualization as well as building the tools that support this process
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of professional experience in data science and machine learning development, with demonstrated track record of delivering transformative, organization-wide ML solutions
  • Master's or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related field strongly preferred
  • Expert-level proficiency in Python, SQL, and the full ML/data science ecosystem; recognized technical authority in ML frameworks, algorithms, and system design
  • Deep expertise in machine learning algorithms, statistical methods, ML system architecture, and emerging AI technologies, with proven ability to architect and scale complex ML systems across the organization
  • Extensive experience architecting end-to-end ML platforms, MLOps infrastructure, and production systems on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Strong experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop), distributed computing systems, and performance optimization at scale
  • Proven technical leadership with ability to set data science standards, mentor senior data scientists, and drive technical strategy across multiple teams
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and solve ambiguous, high-impact problems that align with business objectives
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with ability to influence executive-level decision-making and shape product/business strategy
  • Fluent in English

  • Cross-functional leadership experience spanning data science, engineering, and product teams
  • Industry recognition or subject matter expertise in specialized ML domains
