Position:
Sungrow Brasil, a leading solar energy company, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe and environmentally compliant workplace across our contracts. This role requires frequent travel and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain HSE policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees and subcontractors.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on HSE performance and compliance metrics.
- Safety Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to identify and correct potential safety hazards, such as hazardous working conditions, damaged or improperly operated equipment.
- Training and Education: Provide ongoing training for workers on safety practices, emergency procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Risk Assessment: Assess specific risks associated with photovoltaic plant operations and develop appropriate risk mitigation plans.
- Accident Investigation: Investigate any accidents or safety incidents occurring at the plant, identify their causes, and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the photovoltaic plant complies with all applicable local and national safety regulations and standards.
- PPE Management: Manage the supply and maintenance of personal protective equipment, ensuring it is in good condition and used correctly by workers.
- Safety Communication: Promote a safety culture in the workplace by encouraging workers to report any safety-related concerns or observations.
- Collaboration with Other Teams: Work closely with other teams, such as operations and maintenance engineers, to ensure safety practices are integrated into all plant activities.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the Energy sector (generation and transmission).
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural team environment.
- Intermediate or above knowledge of the English language.
