Senior Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Lead data science projects end-to-end, from data gathering and preprocessing to modeling, evaluation, and presentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership to define business problems that can be solved through data science.
• Design and execute experiments, establish baselines, and evaluate results with analytical rigor.
• Develop, train, and optimize models using modern frameworks (Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Write and present research-driven findings clearly, defending methodology and results in written and verbal formats.
• Mentor junior data scientists and foster technical excellence within the team.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in AI, machine learning, and statistical methods.

Requirements

• +6 years of experience in Data Scientist
• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field or equivalent experience with a strong portfolio of applied projects/research.
• Strong foundation in statistics, probability, and linear algebra.
• Proficiency in Python and the data stack (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow).
• Comfortable with SQL, data engineering workflows, and feature engineering.
• Experience authoring independent manuscripts, research papers, or large-scale technical projects.
• Ability to explain and defend complex methodologies to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong grasp of model evaluation metrics and trade-offs.
• Independent thinker with a track record of challenging assumptions and proposing better approaches.
• Curious and self-directed, with evidence of side projects, Kaggle competitions, GitHub repos, or personal research.
• Collaborative but confident in presenting perspectives and critiques.
• Fluent in written + verbal English.

Salary & Benefits

• $5,000–$6,500 USD per month, depending on your location and skills/experience.
• 15 Days Paid Time Off + Christmas Day + New Year's Day Paid Off.
