QA Engineer

Mindera is looking for a highly skilled QA Engineer with a strong focus on native mobile application testing to join our growing team. You will play a fundamental role in the development and delivery of high-quality mobile products, ensuring quality standards are upheld throughout the entire development lifecycle.
As a QA Engineer, you will contribute to defining and implementing testing strategies, developing and maintaining automated test suites, and ensuring smooth, reliable releases. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, validate solutions, and continuously elevate the quality of our mobile applications.
You will also work side-by-side with the broader QA community at Mindera, helping to improve testing processes, advocate for best practices, and enhance our tooling and frameworks.
Responsibilities- Gain a deep understanding of the mobile applications developed by the engineering teams you support.
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents and provide timely feedback.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities across the team.
- Design and execute exploratory, regression, sanity, and integration tests.
- Identify, document, track, and manage defects with clarity and precision.
- Help grow a community of excellence across product teams by advocating for quality best practices.
- Define quality outcomes within your area of work and create a roadmap to achieve them.
- Develop high-quality code to build, customize, or extend mobile test automation frameworks.
- Actively consider key non-functional requirements (e.g., performance, reliability, security).
- Collaborate with development teams, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure shared understanding of requirements and quality expectations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, tooling, and strategies.
- Proven experience in mobile test automation for iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin).
- Strong experience developing, customizing, and extending mobile test automation frameworks.
- Solid understanding of mobile testing methodologies and tools (e.g., XCUITest, Espresso, Appium).
- Experience producing clear test reports, documentation, and release notes.
- Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration tools (e.g., TeamCity, Jenkins).
Experience using version control systems (e.g., Git).
Nice to Have
Experience with performance, accessibility, or security testing for mobile apps.
- Familiarity with API testing and how mobile clients interact with backend services.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of monitoring and analytics tools for mobile applications.
