Senior or Pleno ABAP Developer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior or Pleno ABAP Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will contribute to SAP S/4HANA projects with a strong focus on the Sales and Distribution (SD) module. This role requires deep knowledge of Brazilian tax regulations and electronic invoice (NF-e) XML structures, as well as the ability to produce technical documentation in both English and Spanish.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and maintain ABAP programs within the SAP S/4HANA environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and enhance the SD module.
  • Design and implement solutions involving Brazilian tax calculations (e.g., ICMS, IPI) and NF-e XML structures.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation in English and Spanish.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Implement and manage BAdIs and extensions in S/4HANA.
  • Support testing, debugging, and deployment of ABAP developments.

Work model: Hybrid

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 1 or 2 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in São Paulo, SP. What you need to have to be considered

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Advanced English
  • Proven experience in ABAP development within SAP S/4HANA environments.
  • Strong knowledge of the Sales and Distribution (SD) module.
  • Advanced understanding of Brazilian tax regulations including ICMS, IPI, and NF-e XML structures.
  • Experience working in multicultural and collaborative team environments.
  • Hands-on experience with BAdIs and S/4HANA extensions.
  • Familiarity with Brazilian fiscal processes in the SAP context.
