Role Overview

We are seeking a visionary
Chief Operating Officer (COO)
who can
step into the CEO role in the near future
. This is a strategic leadership position for an
all-rounder
who combines
operational expertise
with
commercial strength
. The ideal candidate will drive efficiency, profitability, and growth while preparing to lead the organisation at the highest level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee end-to-end operations across all freight forwarding services.

  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with global standards and local regulations.

  • Commercial Leadership:

  • Develop and execute strategies to drive revenue growth and market share.

  • Build strong relationships with key clients and partners.
  • Negotiate major contracts and pricing strategies to maximize profitability.

  • Strategic Vision & Succession:

  • Work closely with the current CEO and global leadership team on long-term strategy.

  • Prepare to transition into the CEO role by demonstrating leadership, vision, and execution capability.

  • Financial Management:

  • Manage regional P&L, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.

  • Monitor KPIs and deliver performance reports to the global board.

  • Leadership & Talent Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire operational and commercial teams.

  • Build a strong leadership pipeline and succession planning.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience:

  • 12+ years in senior leadership roles within freight forwarding or logistics.

  • Proven track record in operational management and commercial strategy.
  • Experience in leading large-scale teams and driving transformation.

  • Skills:

  • Strong business acumen and strategic mindset.

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

  • Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred).
