ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:

As a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant, you will be responsible for completing a range of financial activities and tasks resulting in the presentation of financial and management reports.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Manage accounting compliance activities and focusing on statutory audits.
• Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors, external partners, and tax departments.
• Ensure timely completion statutory financial statements per local legislation and support on CIT workings.
• Follow up on queries from local authorities.
• Prepare audit packages and gather supporting evidence as per auditors' PBC lists.
• Coordinate SITA's responses to auditor requests and participate in sample testing.
• Track audit progress, maintain audit status reports, and escalate potential delays.
• Ensure smooth communication between auditors and relevant SITA departments.
• Prepare the financial statements.
• Support business units with compliance requirements for local tenders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of compliance and audit processes.

Qualifications:

ABOUT YOUR SKILLS

• University degree in Accounting and Finance
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CRC) is an asset
• 3–5 years' experience in an accounting environment, preferably in a medium to large international company with a matrix structure
• Experience with statutory audits, including techniques and standards used
• Experience with ERP platforms (Oracle preferred)
• Knowledge of IFRS, an asset
• Advanced MS Word and Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP, etc.)
• Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level)
• Proficiency in Spanish (minimum B2 level)
• Strong analytical skills
• Effective communication with internal and external partners
• Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines (e.g., statutory busy season of 2–3 months)
• Team player
