Job Summary:
We are building a new mobile team to lead the rebuild of our React Native application for iOS and Android. This role plays a vital part in improving application performance, maintaining high-quality code, and mentoring junior developers within a collaborative and growth-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain advanced features using React Native for iOS and Android mobile platforms
- Refactor and enhance existing codebases to improve performance and scalability
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues
- Collaborate closely with designers and backend developers to ensure smooth user experiences
- Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior team members
- Contribute to the improvement of development workflows and apply industry best practices
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in mobile development, specifically with React Native
- Strong understanding of mobile app lifecycle, performance optimization, and design principles
- Experience integrating with backend-as-a-service (BaaS) platforms like AppWrite or Firebase is a plus.
- Experience with API integration and tools such as Postman
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines is a plus
- Good understanding of mobile UI/UX best practices.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of and web development.
- Experience with Expo to accelerate mobile development.
- Familiarity with styling libraries such as TailwindCSS / NativeWind.
