Job Description

Tax Advisory Team
is seeking an Indirect Tax Specialist in São Paulo/SP. This role will be instrumental in navigating Brazil's evolving tax landscape, particularly focusing on the implementation of the new tax reform.

Accountabilities

  • Lead complex indirect tax projects, providing strategic guidance on tax implications, compliance requirements and optimization opportunities within Brazil's tax framework;
  • Drive tax reform transition strategies and implementation for Syngenta Group companies;
  • Develop tax-efficient solutions aligned with business objectives;
  • Monitor and interpret changes in tax legislation, providing strategic insights to the business;
  • Manage relationships with tax authorities and key stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law, Accounting, Economics or Administration;
  • Postgraduate degree or MBA in Tax Management, Tax Law or related areas;
  • Advanced English;
  • Proven track record in Big Four consulting firms, ideally rounded off with professional experience as in-house tax advisor;
  • Experience in tax audit management, tax controversy and dispute resolution;
  • Strong expertise in ICMS, IPI, PIS/COFINS, ISS, Withholding Taxes and upcoming IBS/CBS/IS;
  • Good understanding of operational tax processes, technology and digital transformation matters;
  • Excellent project management, communication and leadership skills;
  • Capability to transform and translate complex regulatory tax matters into actionable options understood by non-tax experts and business stakeholders.
