Our client is a leading enterprise cloud commerce platform serving high-volume retail operators in the cannabis industry. They provide an end-to-end suite including point-of-sale (POS), retail analytics, cashless payments, and integrated partner solutions across major state markets.


Job Summary

We're looking for a curious, driven, and hands-on Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our team. You'll work in a fast-moving, collaborative environment where ideas quickly become prototypes and prototypes evolve into products. This isn't a role for someone who waits for direction — it's for someone who sees an opportunity, rallies others, experiments quickly, and delivers tangible outcomes. You'll help define architecture, iterate fast, and build scalable, event-driven systems that power some of the most complex retail operations in the cannabis industry.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of problems — from idea to prototype to production.

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using TypeScript and React.

  • Architect and optimize serverless systems on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway,

    EventBridge, S3, etc.).

  • Translate feedback and ambiguity into clear, actionable tasks and deliverables.

  • Present and communicate architectural solutions to peers and stakeholders.

  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to iterate fast and ship value.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.

  • Debug and resolve production issues with urgency and ownership.

  • Contribute to documentation, design reviews, and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

  • 5 years of professional experience in software engineering.

  • Proficiency in TypeScript and React.

  • Experience building and deploying serverless architectures on AWS.

  • Familiarity with event-driven systems and asynchronous design patterns.

  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and modern DevOps workflows (Git, CI/CD).

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-changing environment.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to break down ambiguous problems and drive solutions to completion.
