Associate Director, Structured Finance: S&P Global Ratings

The Team:

Responsibilities And Impact

  • Perform rigorous analytical work, research, fundamental credit analysis, analysis of financial statements, building of financial models and forecasts, and writing analytical reports on rated insurance companies.
  • Maintain direct analytical responsibility for a portfolio of rated insurance companies, ensuring ongoing surveillance and providing rating recommendations.
  • Engage in ongoing surveillance and rating recommendations to uphold the integrity and excellence of our ratings.
  • Maintain analytical contact with senior management of rated entities, presenting analytical findings to both internal and external constituencies.

What We're Looking For
Basic Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience within structured finance, or within a large commercial bank, investment bank, investing institution, or audit company, specifically in the field of credit analysis of structured finance or equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of insurance financial statement analysis and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency with figures and the ability to maintain accuracy and be detail-oriented while complying with deadlines.
  • Ability to prepare forecasts based upon reasoned assumptions.
  • Solid communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capacity to expand, learn, and contribute.

Hybrid Work Requirements:
All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
Interview Requirements:
We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global Ratings office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.
