We are ARVORE, a startup in the virtual reality content creation scene. 

Based out of Los Angeles and São Paulo, our studio creates, designs, produces and develops world-class interactive experiences and games for all current and future high-end immersive platforms, including virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality.

ARVORE is looking to hire a technically adept, creative individual to complement our team. You will have the opportunity to work on innovative immersive and narrative-driven XR experiences, iterating and prototyping with a high level of creative freedom and with the opportunity to guide the direction of some of these endeavours.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Gameplay Developers turn game and interaction ideas into code and functioning systems. In our team, we are looking for someone focused on Unreal Engine for mobile games, responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining high-quality features while working closely with designers, artists, and other programmers.

This professional will also play a key role in supporting the team with best practices in architecture, clean code, and design patterns, as well as contributing to the evolution of our internal development pipeline and processes.

MAIN CROSS-FUNCTIONAL ACTIVITIES:

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain systems in Unreal Engine (C++ and Blueprints).
  • Collaborate with designers, artists, and programmers to deliver high-quality features.
  • Support the team by defining scalable and reusable architectures.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the development pipeline, tools, and processes.
  • Ensure performance optimization for mobile devices.
  • Help identify and resolve technical issues and bugs.

MUST HAVE:

  • Proven experience with Unreal Engine (C++ and Blueprints).
  • Solid background in mobile game development.
  • Strong knowledge of performance optimization for mobile devices.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with independence and focus on quality delivery.
  • Attention to clean code practices and design patterns.

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Knowledge of multiplayer systems and online services integration.
  • Experience with publishing on mobile stores (Google Play / App Store).
  • Familiarity with tools such as Google G Suite, Slack, and GitHub.
  • Passion for games and interest in interactive and narrative experiences.
  • Experience with other game engines (such as Unity) is a plus.
