Location: Vila Olímpia, São Paulo, SP – hybrid model 3-2

Reports to: Finance Manager LATAM

Job Overview

Responsible for all Sourced Finished Goods functions for all Brazil businesses and supporting management LATAM ensuring consistent application of the cost accounting principles, and company policy and Productivity plans for LATAM. This will include the setting of moving average costs, measuring and recording variances, and ensuring inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the moving average cost for Sourced Finished Goods and report impact on changes to executive level management.
• Ensure all costs of the finished goods are correct and on time reflected in the financial and accounting system.
• Make cost estimates for new products, serving as support to determine product sales margins
• Support and track financial impact of productivity projects.
• Prepare and calculate Excess & Obsolete and Shrink reserves for finished goods.
• Analysis of the importation of finished goods sourced, generating cost reports to examine trends and findings related to pricing, FX rates, freight costs, duties, and broker fees.
• Analyze cost variances versus Budget and forecasts, providing accurate and consistent breakdowns for cost variance reasons.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual explanations for inventories Balance Sheet reporting and P&L reporting.
• Prepare inventory and reserves account reconciliations
• Prepare monthly inventory and COGS Variations journal entries (adjustments and others)
• Provide management with reports specifying and comparing average costs monthly.
• Review and preparation of Workpapers for Financial Internal and External Audit (costs and inventories)
• Analyze audits of costs and preparing reports
• Assist in Month end close of the General Ledger
• Recommend implementing and maintaining process improvements
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and Company SOX policies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related areas
• Relevant experience in cost function at first level multinational companies, preferably in the consumer industry.
• Spanish and Portuguese fluency
• Strong technical accounting skills
• Experience working on development and analysis of cost standards and variances
• Financial analytical skills
• Strong Excel skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Detailed oriented profile with excellent communications skills.
• Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret data
• Strong initiative and proactiveness, even working under pressure.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Intermediate level of English
