What you'll do

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will contribute to extending MetaMask to new networks. We are looking for creative, talented and passionate individuals who are willing to dive deep into the complexity and challenges of blockchain and web3 and help deliver best-in-class curated experiences to our users across our multiple platforms (Browser Extension and Mobile App). As a Staff Software Engineer, you will help unify, enhance and transform our experiences across teams.

Would be great if you brought this to the role

• 5+ years working with web and mobile-based technologies
• Hands-on experience building RPC API interfaces 
• Experience with blockchain fundamentals across multiple blockchain architectures (specially Non-EVMs)
• Experience working in an agile development team
• Experience developing medium to large-scale applications across the entire stack with minimal tech debt through sensible abstractions, testing, linting, and adherence to coding/web standards
• Experience building and consuming APIs
• A demonstrable understanding of Continuous Integration
• Strong understanding of web-based security threats and prevention techniques

Bonus Points

• Experience with the Bitcoin blockchain
• Demonstrated passion for and knowledge of blockchain technologies
• Experience working in a decentralized, distributed team
• Previous experience working in Web3
• Product knowledge about the Web3 wallet space
• Mobile experience (React Native, Objective C, Swift)
