Job Description:

This is a Fixed Term position for one year.

The position is accountable for the assurance and execution of purchasing control requirements applied to third party suppliers, service providers, direct and indirect suppliers and transportation carriers used across the LATAM region for Transportation services and other services managed by Shared Services in LATAM. The supplier quality supervisor works with business partners in transportation, procurement and quality partners to effectively implement and improve the purchasing controls programs for transportation operations within LATAM.

Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities

  • Supports the multiyear cross-functional implementation plan for purchasing controls and Supplier Quality Management for Shared Services LATAM. Directly leads the quality aspects of the purchasing controls implementation plan, ensuring consistency in approach across Shared Services LATAM.
  • Apply risk assessment tools, processes, and criteria for impact (risk) categorization of suppliers in alignment with Enterprise efforts; Implement standard supplier selection and qualification tools and processes for suppliers in alignment with Enterprise effort; Acts as the LATAM representative on a global CQSS Supplier Quality Management team.
  • Partners with Transportation Operations and Logistics Procurement to develop and maintain a LATAM Regional Approved Suppliers List for Regional Transportation and any support functions; Develops and maintains the annual CQSS supplier and service provider audit schedule for the region; Lead audit schedule execution, ensuring quality audits and assessments of suppliers that can be executed internally or throw a third party consultant.
  • Leads the development and management of Supplier Quality Agreements.
  • Directly supports Regional Transportation and other functional areas within Shared Services LATAM during JJRC and Health Authority inspections, particularly with respect to CQSS Supplier Management program, Approved Supplier List, Supplier Audit results and supplier audit performance results.
  • Execute internal audit and/or coordinate external audit resources to ensure timely execution of the regional CQSS supplier audit program;
  • Develops, maintains, and reports dashboard metrics of supplier performance to drive continuous improvement to supplier quality system elements and cost improvement plans; Reports supplier performance results at Management Review; Provides supplier quality performance results for Supplier Business Reviews and participates in reviews as needed. ​

Required Minimum Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in pharmacy, engineering, or scientific discipline.
  • Preferred: Master's degree in engineering, science, or business

Required Years of Related Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Quality Area.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Fluent in Spanish and English is a must
  • Auditing experience in a lead auditor role required; experience in Supplier auditing is preferred
  • Contract review/writing skills preferred
  • Planning skills, and previous project leadership experience
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills preferred
  • Experience with issue investigation and remediation
