About The Role
Software Engineers at Uber have an impact across a variety of business and technology decisions spanning projects and locations. We are passionate and pragmatic technologists who are able to design scalable systems while deliver efficient code. We are humble teachers, technically mentoring a team of talented engineers while also executing on delivering uniquely ambitious projects As a Software Engineer on the Engineering team in Brazil, you will be a member of Uber's development center in LATAM, developing products across Uber and all around the World.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop scalable backend systems
- Build large scale systems working worldwide
- Work closely with multiple stakeholders to enable experiences globally
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years full-time Backend engineering work experience
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and database systems
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Java, Python, C, or C++
- Experience in designing and deploying backend systems and microservices.
- Advanced English language skills to collaborate with global teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems
- Experience in enhancing system observability, quality, and latency
About the Team
Core Services Engineering develops and manages the commerce platform that powers all Uber apps. Operating across 70+ countries and processing millions of transactions per second, the team works to meet the evolving needs of Uber's current and future business.
