SUMMARYThis position performs basic laboratory tests, under close supervision, to determine chemical or physical characteristics designated by our clients.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform physical-chemical tests on products, respecting the determined technical requirements, according to Brazilian ABNT and international ASTM, IP and other methods, releasing them during and after the test, and filling out their respective forms.
- Analyse received materials and release them, filling out their respective forms with information and identifying data that enable future actions regarding said materials.
- Analyse products related to the request for technical assistance from the company and partner companies, verifying their origin, their respective documents, making the appropriate records and issuing the reports pertinent to the tests performed.
- Prepare reagents; use measuring and control instruments; prepare samples; record analysis results.
- Perform other activities, if they are of the same nature and with equivalent degrees of responsibility and complexity, whenever requested to intervene.
- Ensure the maintenance, conservation and cleaning of equipment, machines and the workplace, keeping it in order and suitable for operations.
- Properly use the systems, tools and other resources made available by the company to carry out your work in accordance with defined standards and procedures.
- Control the entry and exit of samples in the sample rooms.
- Technical level diploma in chemistry, petrochemical or oil and gas, and/or higher education in chemistry, engineering in chemical or oil and gas is required.
- High School Diploma is required
- One plus year related laboratory experience and/or training preferred.
- Ability to write basic routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak professionally with customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and quantities (linear, volumetric, or weight) and to read and interpolate applicable data and tables. Able to draw and interpret applicable graphs and control charts.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to communicate orally, written and read in English.
- Ability to communicate in Spanish would be a differential.

- This position resides within a normal office working environment. International travel will be required.
