DescriptionDOCUMENT NUMBER: D TITLE:OPS.FLDENG.PROF.IPOSITION TITLE: Field Engineer IPOSITIONCATEGORY:  Geozone OperationsREPORTS TO (JOB TITLE): DUAL REPORT Job Purpose Dependingon their level of knowledge & experience, the Field Engineer's role appliesstandard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks or jobs for avariety of products and services. Entry and intermediate level roles willreceive direct supervision in support of their duties and assignments. Seniorand fully-qualified level roles will not only provide the direction to juniorfield engineers but will also use their extensive knowledge to troubleshoot andresolve complex technical issues and make recommendations to alter developmentand designs to improve the quality of products and procedures. Familiarity withthe variety of field concepts may result in senior roles supporting researchbut will certainly be used to plan assignments and accomplish goals.Intermediate and Senior positions will act as the key interface with the clientat the well site, carrying the duties and responsibilities for completingservice assignments and managing other Weatherford personnel at the well site.Whilst this is a generic job description covering the different levels of theField Engineer position, all aspects of the roles and responsibilities arerelevant. Senior roles will be involved with more advanced technology.Roles & Responsibilities SAFETY, SECURITY & COMPLIANCE · Maintains the highest standards of corporate governance,ensuring that all activities are carried out ethically and in compliance withCompany's Security, Compliance & HSE policies, Management System, relevantlaws, regulations, standards, and industry practices and complies with theCompany's Rules to Live By· PlacesQuality, Health & Safety, Security and protection of the Environment ascore values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes,customers or the communities in which we live and work at risk· Seekscontinual improvement in Health, Safety, Security & protection of theEnvironment, taking into account responsible care, process vulnerabilities,public, customer and employee inputs, knowledge and technology and bestbusiness practices to exceed customer expectations· Supervisors & Managers should demonstrate effective safetyleadership for the health and safety arrangements of all subordinates and forany persons visiting them while on the Company premisesQUALITY · Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Qualitypolicies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford'sManagement System · Maintains service quality as immediate priorities when workingacross all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvementOPERATIONS · Participates in all daily operations & safety meetings,toolbox, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and reports any issues promptly using theappropriate tools· Maintains equipment, facilities and work area in a presentableand safe working conditions· Monitor and analyzes data to recommend services and solutions· Demonstrates knowledge & skills to perform work processesaccording to their role level experience & competence· Performs job planning, preparation of tools & equipment,mobilization, job execution and submits all job-related data, not limited tojob reports, WPTS data entry, observation cards while on-site, service ticketsor logs with the required signatory, and any other documents required tosuccessfully invoice the client within an acceptable time· Available on 24 hours call basis to respond to customer needs· Tests, operates & maintains tools & equipment as perwork instructions, according to policies & procedures in safe andpresentable working conditions against their level of training & competence· Develops and maintains a positive relationship with clients toensure repeat business· Fully responsible for delivering superior Service Quality to theclient· Effectively manage inventory and supplies required at the wellsite· Follows up failures with the R&M team and ensures failurereports are closed with clients· Contribute, participate or lead equipment failure investigationsthat support Root Cause Analysis reports· Where the level of the role requires, oversees, leads andmentors Field Operation crew members· Senior level roles may act as technical advisors to managementand they may interpret data for client representatives to optimize services· Intermediate and Senior level roles will perform engineeringchecks while on client location.
