Role Summary
Own end-to-end sponsorship strategy, acquisition, and activation for
U.S. and Latin-American
sports properties while operating from a strategic hub (Dubai, Malta, or Bangkok). Deliver revenue growth, deepen brand relationships, and enforce measurable ROI on every partnership.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning
–
Build multi-year sponsorship plans that align brand objectives with relevant leagues, teams, and events across the USA and LATAM. - Business Development
– Identify, pitch, and close new sponsorship opportunities; maintain a robust pipeline to exceed annual revenue targets. - Relationship Management
– Maintain senior-level contacts at rights-holders, agencies, and corporate partners; act as primary liaison throughout the contract lifecycle. - Contracting & Negotiation
– Lead deal structuring and contract negotiations; coordinate with Legal to safeguard commercial interests. - Activation & Integration
– Direct execution of on-site, broadcast, and digital assets; coordinate with Marketing, PR, and Digital teams to maximise exposure and fan engagement. - Measurement & Reporting
– Define KPIs, oversee third-party valuation studies, and deliver clear post-campaign performance reports. - Budget & Compliance
– Control sponsorship budgets and ensure adherence to league and governmental regulations in each market. - Market Intelligence
– Track industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging sports platforms (e-sports, women's leagues, niche sports) to inform strategy.
Qualifications
- Experience:
Minimum 7 years managing high-value sports sponsorships for brands, agencies, or rights-holders targeting U.S. or Latin-American audiences. - Network
: Established relationships with major leagues and agencies (e.g., MLS, NFL, NBA, MLB, Liga MX, CONMEBOL, CBF). - Revenue Delivery:
Proven record of closing multi-million-dollar deals and consistently meeting or surpassing sales quotas. - Negotiation & Contracting:
Deep knowledge of commercial deal structures, rights packaging, and IP/licensing issues. - Analytical Rigor:
Advanced skills in sponsorship valuation and ROI modelling; able to present data-driven insights to C-suite stakeholders. - Languages:
Fluent English required;
business-level Spanish or Portuguese strongly preferred. - Mobility:
Ability to work effectively across time zones from Dubai, Malta, or Bangkok and undertake frequent long-haul travel to the Americas.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or relevant postgraduate degree.
- Experience integrating digital-first activations (OTT, social commerce, NFTs) into partnership programs.
- Familiarity with cause-marketing or DEI initiatives in sports.
