IFS Technical Consultant

Location: Colombo

What you'll be doing:

  • Work with people – talk to stakeholders at different levels, understand what they need, and find smart ways to deliver it.
  • Configure and customize IFS Cloud – including custom objects like events, menus, fields, and workflows.
  • Design useful reports and dashboards – help users see what matters through clear insights.
  • Build integrations – connect IFS Cloud with other systems to keep data flowing.
  • Handle data migrations – move data between environments using tools like IFS Data Migration.
  • Solve tricky technical problems – from bug-fixing to creative workarounds, you'll find answers where others stop.
  • Support your team – share knowledge, offer training, and bring your technical expertise to the table.
  • Make things better – propose new ideas based on your experience to improve performance and customer satisfaction.

What we're looking for:

  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience with IFS Applications.
  • Proven experience customizing and implementing IFS Cloud.
  • Hands-on knowledge of integrating IFS with other systems.
  • Strong in PL/SQL and Oracle SQL – plus at least one scripting language (Shell / PowerShell / Python).
  • Good grasp of IFS business logic/API and configuration in at least one ERP area.
  • Comfortable working with IFS Custom Objects, Lobbies, and Data Migration tools.
  • Bonus if you have an IFS Practitioner or Technical Consultant certification.
  • English at B2+ level – you'll be talking to international teams and clients.
  • Proactive, independent, solution-focused, and client-oriented.
  • Great at managing your time and priorities – especially when deadlines get tight.
