Statutory Accountant - summary

We are looking for a skilled VAT Accountant to support our Czech accounting operations. This role involves responsibility for VAT agenda, reporting, cooperation with external auditors and shared services, and ensuring tax compliance. You'll be part of an international team and work closely with colleagues in Czechia and abroad.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Managing VAT agenda: VAT return, control report, and recapitulative statement

• Reconciliation of VAT accounts

• Supporting invoicing – VAT-related queries and issues

• Communication with Tax Authorities on VAT matters

• Preparation of withholding tax reports

• Calculation and posting of accruals (a few per month)

• Verification of correct booking of received invoices

• Preparation of supplier invoice payments in CSOB system

• Daily cooperation with DXC Shared Services in India

• Collaboration with local statutory auditors

• Fixed assets: cooperation with Shared Services, tax depreciation calculations

• Preparation of statistical reports

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting

• Proven experience with VAT reporting

• Fluent Czech (native level)

• Communicative English (spoken and written)

• Knowledge of SAP is a plus

• Excel proficiency (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
