Role Description

This is a part-time (afternoon - 1 p.m to 5:30/6 p.m) on-site role for a Preschool Teacher at Little Kids Escola Bilíngue located in Curitiba, PR. The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, developing and following a curriculum, communicating with parents and other staff members, and creating a safe and nurturing learning environment for the children.

• Develop, together with the coordination, strategies that promote the improvement and engagement of students, based on observation and evidence collection;
• Promote classes and differentiation strategies for students with learning difficulties;
• Supervise the work of the Teaching Assistant (TA) in adapting activities for students with special educational needs;
• Ensure safety, constantly staying with students, in any activity, observing, guiding and interfering when necessary, to avoid possible accidents. Keeping this stance comprehensively to all school students;

Qualifications

• Experience in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development
• Knowledge of Early Childhood Education principles and practices
• Excellent Communication skills, both in English and Portuguese
• Experience teaching Kindergarten or Preschool-aged children
• Patience, flexibility, and a passion for working with young learners
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Additional certifications in early childhood education is a plus
• Advanced/Fluent English
