Job Description:

The SAP Basis Security Sr. Analyst is responsible for establishing, optimizing, and standardizing work processes that support Mars' global and segment solutions. Deliver projects that ensure a long-term platform supportability and reliability, while enabling business value through the definition and implementation of robust technical solutions for application and database platforms. Drive the design and execution of IT Governance within the Digital Technologies, fostering a collaborative culture across Digital Platform towers and ensuring effective interaction with other teams. Act as a Compliance Enabler by adhering to Mars Security Policies, designing and implementing IT Security Controls within Digital Technologies, and establishing governance principles, policies, and processes that uphold security and compliance standards.

What are we looking for?

  • Ability to translate technical or complex concepts into user-friendly language

  • Strong analytical, risk management, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills

  • Established skills in time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization of work

  • Ability to collaborate and work closely with different stakeholders levels

  • Ability to manage vendors and resources to achieve deliverables

  • Ability to remain flexible as priorities change, adaptable to change, and able to accept ambiguity

  • Effective English communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation

  • 5+ years of experience in SAP Basis, Oracle, MSSQL, and/or HANA.

  • Security audit experience for SAP and database platforms

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Act as a contact point managing demands coming from our internal customers, understanding their needs, helping to translate that into solutions, engaging other team members on evaluation when needed, and defining the proper route to its execution, aiming to remove the complexity and quickly react on the business demands when working within SAP Basis team, leveraging his / her technical expertise on SAP Basis Security area.

  • Work closely with the Project Management Officer, supplying visibility of the project and resource requirements within agreed timelines with our customers, to ensure proper project management is performed to maximize our deliverables and reduce delays and bottlenecks on project activities.

  • Accountable for tracking resource usage, giving clear visibility of the incurrence costs related to specific activity, and as well by collaborating with the management of finance in the area.

  • Liaise with the other team members inside the skills SAP Basis area to collect inputs of our vendors' performance and quality, basing their deliverables against contractual SLAs in place, ensuring proper action plans are developed and implemented to cover possible areas for improvement, and reporting this to our Mars Service Level team.

  • Ensure adherence to our Mars Security Policies, compliance controls, regularly coordinating evidence collections for audit purposes, and interacting with security teams to implement/update controls and for any new demands in this security scope area.

  • Provide solution inputs to Application Services and Project teams using SAP Basis platforms and Database administration, own and others' expertise.

  • Improve efficiency and reliability, as well as search for automation initiatives to reduce the manual efforts of processes and controls.

  • Manage 3rd parties to ensure continuous improvement activities delivery per agreed KPIs and recommend improved ways of working.

  • Implement strategies, processes, and technology to secure, control, monitor, and audit privileged access authorizations (admin accounts, service accounts, etc.) within Mars Security Policies, ensuring only authorized users get proper authorizations, enforcing the principle of least privilege, and logging all activity to prevent data breaches, insider threats, and meet compliance and audit requirements.
