Job Description
*Full Stack Developer - API Focused
MuscleWiki is building the world's largest exercise database, supported by powerful fitness tools that help people train smarter. We're looking for a
full stack engineer*
to join our small but growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both frontend work and backend/API development, and who wants to collaborate closely with our existing engineers on day-to-day projects while also driving forward our new API initiative.

What We Are Building
We are building an API for our content and exercise library for B2B and B2C users of our content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the buildout of our API product. Starting with RapidAPI and later building our own in-house solution.
  • Collaborate with our technical lead to design, plan, and deliver core product features.
  • Maintain and improve our frontend stack by modernizing code and replacing legacy technologies.
  • Contribute to technical discussions, architecture decisions, and product planning.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

  • Python (Django backend)

What We're Looking For

  • API design and implementation
  • Strong experience with frontend technologies and an eye for clean, functional design.
  • Hands-on experience building APIs (RapidAPI experience a plus).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote, distributed team.
  • Experience across the software development lifecycle: design, development, and implementation.
