Summary

The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure to support the company's operations and growth. This role will lead the optimization of CI/CD pipelines, automation of deployment processes, and cloud cost management while ensuring adherence to security best practices. As a senior member of the team, this professional will provide mentorship to junior and mid-level DevOps engineers, driving technical excellence and the adoption of best-in-class DevOps tools and practices.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Automation

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud-based infrastructure for scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

CI/CD & Deployment

• Oversee and enhance CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI), ensuring rapid and reliable deployments.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline delivery timelines and improve software release quality.
• Drive GitOps adoption and improve infrastructure deployment automation.

Security, Reliability & Cost Optimization

• Implement security best practices across infrastructure, CI/CD, and cloud environments.
• Ensure systems are resilient, reliable, and aligned with compliance requirements.
• Proactively manage cloud costs, identifying optimization opportunities without compromising performance.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior and mid-level DevOps engineers.
• Act as a subject matter expert for DevOps practices, tools, and cloud architecture.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve infrastructure scalability and operational maturity.
• Stay up to date with emerging DevOps trends, tools, and practices, introducing improvements where beneficial.

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Experience:

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Proven track record in scaling cloud infrastructure and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience mentoring and supporting engineering teams in DevOps best practices.

Technical Skills:

• Extensive experience with cloud platforms.
• Strong expertise in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
• Advanced knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Expertise in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog).
• Advanced knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with GitOps methodologies.

Languages:

• Portuguese – Fluent/Native.
• English – Intermediate.
