The School of Dentistry of Araçatuba (FOA-UNESP) is offering one Postdoctoral Fellowship position funded by FAPESP, starting on February 1, 2026. The selected candidate will participate in the project entitled "Development of innovative formulations to optimize the efficacy and safety of dental bleaching".
Applicants must hold a PhD degree in Dentistry, Pharmacy, or Chemistry. A strong academic record is required, with no failures during undergraduate studies, and evidence of excellence demonstrated by leadership in scientific production during graduate school. Candidates must also provide proof of scientific research experience and recent publications (within the last five years) in high-impact journals.
Fluency in Portuguese is essential for interaction with other researchers and laboratory staff, as well as proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate clearly and to write academic texts directly in this language. Candidates must have proven expertise in methodologies involving trans-enamel and dentin diffusion, intrapulpal free radical formation, degradation of active compounds in bleaching gels, pH monitoring and stability, and hydraulic conductance analysis of dental tissues. In addition, experience in developing experimental methodologies in animals and in analyzing the pulpal response of rats submitted to dental bleaching is required.

The position is open to both Brazilian and international candidates. The selected fellow will receive a FAPESP Postdoctoral Fellowship in the amount of R$ 12,570.00 per month, plus a Technical Reserve corresponding to 10% of the annual fellowship value, intended for unforeseen expenses directly related to the research.
During the scholarship period, the candidate must reside in the city of Araçatuba and dedicate themselves exclusively to the project. Work or affiliation with other educational institutions or dental practices is not permitted.
The selection process will be conducted directly by an evaluation committee comprised of the researchers responsible for the project, and the selected candidate will be registered with FAPESP to begin the scholarship.
After the evaluation committee receives the application email, the candidate will receive an email confirming receipt of the documents. The selection process will be conducted in two phases. First, the information provided in the email and the attached documents will be analyzed. Candidates approved at this stage will be invited for an interview at the Araçatuba School of Dentistry – FOA/UNESP, on a date and time to be agreed upon.
