Join the movement to power a cleaner future. We're seeking experienced and driven Renewables Safety Managers. As a Safety Manager you will be responsible for participating in the planning, organizing, and implementing the company's Safety Program at construction projects while ensuring compliance with federal, state and corporate environmental, health and safety regulations
Location & Travel Details: You'll get the opportunity to travel across the US, helping our team build renewable projects. This is a traveling position (up to 100%), where you will be onsite at a project location. You have the potential to be placed on a project site located in any state throughout the US. You'll spend 8-12 months on average per project. We offer designated daily per diem in addition to base pay to support and help you cover living expenses. A vehicle will be provided. This position is eligible for routine travel home (rotation) from the jobsite.

ResponsibilitiesWork as a leader in the job site safety department under EHS Leadership, directly supervising Safety Managers, Coordinators, and Specialists. Set ethical standards and support company beliefs while maintaining trust and communication.
Conduct workplace safety checks, documenting actions in daily reports. Complete required site safety inspections (Safety Professional Checks) and execute the Safety Program as reflected in project safety scorecards. Implement the Zero Injury System and R4 Program, monitoring results.
Assist in writing and organizing jobsite safety plans, reviewing Pre-Task Plans for continuous improvement. Collaborate with the Site Production Manager to develop and maintain effective site-specific safety and environmental plans. Manage the injury management program, establishing relationships with local physicians.
Coordinate safety training, including New Hire Orientation, Fall Protection, Lockout/Tagout, and more. Attend weekly safety meetings and participate in the R4 Safety Committee. Ensure quality incident reports and lead investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions.
Maintain communication between the company and clients on safety matters, participate in site inspections and compliance testing for permits. Coordinate with Corporate Safety on training needs, injury management, and OSHA reporting. Administer the drug and alcohol policy and manage site first aid supplies.
Create notices of noncompliance and ensure understanding of environmental regulations. Invest in enhancing apprentices' skills and provide a positive coaching environment. Spend 60% of time in the field and perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications
Safety Manager I Compensation & Qualifications
- Compensation $64,000-$85,600 / year, commensurate with experience
- Minimum of 2-3 year of construction safety experience and have demonstrated the ability to provide a high level of safety leadership to both management and craft workers
Safety Manager II Compensation & Qualifications
- Compensation $74,000-$98,700 / year, commensurate with experience
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of construction safety management experience and have demonstrated the ability to provide a high level of safety leadership to both management and craft workers
- Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
- CHST or other BCSP certification preferred
- Must obtain CHST within one year of position entry date
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the company's Zero Injury principles
- Functional computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Type and write reports with accuracy and appropriate grammar
- Communication and report writing
- Knowledge of MSHA/OSHA regulations and hazard recognition, record keeping and injury management
- CPR/First Aid Instructor certification and training experience
- Work towards Professional certification (CHST, CMSP, etc.) within 6 months starting position

- Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and extreme heat
- Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration
- Noise level in the work environment may exceed TLV
