The Cash Management team currently manages 313 active bank accounts worldwide, ~400 e-wallets accounts at Mercadopago and has 33 accounts in the process of being opened. We must mapped all the other e-wallets accounts to assure governance as well.The complexity of the regulatory and operational environment across multiple countries requires dedicated coordination to ensure governance, control, and operational efficiency.
At present, the Cash Governance Coordinator is taking on operational activities, due the lack of headcount, which prevents her from fully performing the strategic/ governance coordination role.
 
You will also be responsible for:
  • Bank Account Management and Governance: oversee account openings, maintenance, closures, and access monitoring.
  • Adherence to Policies and Internal Controls: ensure alignment with internal governance, audit, and governance standards.
  • Process Standardization: define and monitor global workflows for account opening, new business and maintenance.
  • Risk Management: mitigate risks of fraud, unauthorized access, and compliance breaches.
  • Coordination of Global Demands: act as the focal point between local teams, global teams, and partner banks.
  • Future Preparedness: ensure that, once the account opening expansion phase is over, the maintenance cycle (access management, KYC, updates) is carried out in an organized and seamless way.


Main requirements for this position:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in Cash Management, Treasury, and regional Banking Operations.
  • Advanced English and Spanish for effective communication with global and regional stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical profile, with solid communication skills, decision-making capability, and problem-solving orientation.
  • Previous experience coordinating multicultural teams and operating across different Latin American countries.
  • Ability to implement process improvements and automation, ensuring efficiency and governance in banking operations.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in fintechs, digital banks, or high-growth companies.

  • Participation in banking integration projects, M&A audits, or the structuring of new legal entities.

  • Experience with offshore operations and global treasury processes.

  • Knowledge of financial risk management and treasury internal controls
