Laboratory Specialist Coordinator - Brazil
Job Description:
The LS Coordinator position is designed to support the Sales/General Manager surrounding leadership and management activities regarding coaching, mentoring, and coordinating tasks related to the LS Coordinator role in the field. They will lead the team of Laboratory Specialists focused on achieving the business goals and objectives of the Region.
Main activities:
- This individual will act as a Player/Coach in the Region 40% of their time will focus on the Supervisory Management tasks of the Junior, LS and Senior positions. The key focus will be on coaching, mentoring, and assist the Specialist with respect to procedures such as System Verification support, proprietary software use and current LS tools.
- This individual will maintain their Technical competencies in the field and support a reduced territory workload. 30% of their time will support a territory and technical tasks surrounding implementations, customer support, and menu addition to align with company goals and the resourcing needs within the region.
- Engage their teams to assists customers with menu review and menu addition, both during validation and following test of record on automated analyzers and using QO's Vitros technology to build and expand reagent revenue. Also supports sales activities to drive the business and meet company goals.
- Participates in the formal complaint handling process, troubleshooting, and re-training as deemed necessary, related to QO Vitros technology and its automation. Working with internal resources and the customer ensuring that technical issues are resolved in a timely and complete manner. This includes reporting complaints received from the customer to the appropriate Customer Support Center, providing all the required data and activities complying with QO complaint handling procedures.
Required skills:
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biomedicine, Pharmacist or other degree equivalent.
- Preferred 4 – 6 years' experience as a Senior Laboratory Specialist in the field or equivalent experience is required.
- Solid Clinical Chemistry market knowledge for the purpose of understanding market forces impacting the business.
- Advanced knowledge of customer Clinical Chemistry and/or Blood Bank processes.
- Capable of training at a variety of levels of expertise.
- English and Spanish - advanced verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Office - Excel and PPT advanced skills.
- Availability for travel (at least 60% domestic travel and 15% international travel).
