Cadence Design Systems Inc. is looking for a motivated
Product Validation Engineer II: Quality Assurance - VIP
to work with us in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

The Product Validation team is responsible for VIP (Verification IP) products quality. The team develops systems, tools and tests for quality assurance, command and control interfaces, debriefing and analysis of the weak points of the product and its external interfaces.

The VIP (Verification IP) group focuses on developing software that emulates and validates the standard communication protocols in the industry, including the newest, most complex and most commonly used protocols. Job Description

  • Creating, configuring and maintaining automation tools for test execution
  • Defining & driving new development and testing process methodology
  • Communicating with different roles and teams in US, Israel and India, including R&D and DevOps
  • The candidate is expected to be proficient in software programming and follow good coding practices.
  • They must have good problem solving and debugging skills.
  • They should understand software programming architecture, SoC hardware architecture and interfaces.

Requirements

  • Complete Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields
  • 2 years of experience in working in a Unix/Linux environment
  • 2 years of experience in writing scripts in Python, Perl and Shell
  • 1 year of experience in working with Quality metrics and communicating with stakeholders
  • Experience in automating tests and manual tasks
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Portuguese

Nice To Have

  • Knowledge on CI/CD flows, especially when using Jenkins and GIthub actions
  • Knowledge on hardware verification methodologies
  • Experience in code review tools such as review board and swarm
