At CI&T, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Python Developer to join our team in Colombia. You will contribute to an innovative project in a collaborative, innovative, transforming, and multicultural environment.
Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
  • We are seeking a Senior Python Developer to join our technical team. This role requires an experienced professional who can lead development efforts, implement best practices, and work with modern DevOps tools and methodologies.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications following best practices and coding standards.
  • Implement and manage Bitbucket Pipelines for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with comprehensive test coverage.
  • Architect and develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Python frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI, etc.).
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of learning.
  • Optimize application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and QA engineers.
Must-Have Skills:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Development, IT, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in Python development.
  • Proficiency: Demonstrated expert-level proficiency in Python 3.x.
  • Frameworks: Deep knowledge of at least one major Python framework (Django, Flask, FastAPI, or similar).
  • Databases: Proficiency with both relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
  • Containerization: Experience with Docker and container orchestration.
  • Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience with AI-powered development tools and methodologies (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes or container orchestration.
  • Familiarity with AWS monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, etc.).
Professional Attributes:
  • Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to code quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
