ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll design and build scalable, secure, and high-performing backend systems that power a fast-growing mobile application used by over a million users. You'll drive technical excellence through clean, efficient code in TypeScript and , optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS, and ensure seamless integrations across services. This role offers the chance to shape technical strategy, mentor developers, and contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Successfully handle the full lifecycle of assigned tickets, from development to testing and deployment, while adhering to best practices;
  • Design and implement backend features that are scalable, efficient, and maintainable, capable of handling increasing loads as the mobile app user base grows;
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve backend issues and bugs promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to the user experience and maintaining high app reliability;
  • Consistently deliver high-performance, secure, and well-documented backend code that meets product requirements and passes rigorous testing;
  • Regularly update and optimize backend systems, databases, and dependencies to enhance performance, security, and scalability;
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer by documenting key processes, conducting training sessions, and offering regular technical feedback to team members;
  • Develop and maintain advanced analytics tools that provide valuable insights into user behavior, app performance, and backend system health;
  • Ensure the backend architecture supports seamless integration with frontend components and third-party services.
MUST HAVES
  • 4+ years of experience delivering high-quality code with TypeScript & ;
  • Strong expertise in DynamoDB;
  • Proven track record working with high-traffic products (1.5M+ Monthly Average Users);
  • Strong knowledge of cloud services (AWS) and experience in managing scalable infrastructures;
  • Deep understanding of backend technologies relevant to mobile app development (e.g., RESTful APIs, microservices, database management);
  • Leadership and mentorship experience;
  • Security awareness;
  • Upper-intermediate English level.

  • Experience working with React Native.
