Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role based in São Paulo, Brazil for a Director of Innovation. The Director of Innovation will be responsible for driving strategic planning and managing key projects and programs. The role involves continuous assessment and consulting to optimize operations and develop new opportunities. Day-to-day tasks will include leading the innovation team, overseeing the implementation of initiatives, and ensuring alignment with the company's long-term goals.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in innovation-related roles, with a track record of driving new initiatives from concept to execution
• Demonstrated experience building or leading public-private partnerships or multi-stakeholder initiatives. You know how to speak the language of government agencies and industry alike, and have navigated collaborations that involve both sectors
• Familiarity with regulatory processes in energy/technology and experience in securing funding (grants, investments, or corporate sponsorships). You're able to engage with policymakers and translate regulatory constraints into innovation opportunities
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. You can craft a compelling narrative about Atlanteo's mission and build trust with diverse stakeholders – whether it's government officials, corporate partners, researchers, or community leaders. Bilingual in Portuguese/English is highly desirable (given our Brazilian base and global partners)
• Strong analytical skills to assess and leverage data effectively
• Experience in Program Management and Project Management
• Expertise in Strategic Planning to drive organizational goals
• Consulting experience to identify and implement innovative solutions
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Advanced degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred
• Previous experience in the renewable energy sector is a plus
