Ruhrpumpen Brazil is looking for a Business Unit Manager who will lead our Industrial BU which produces and provides pump equipment under an "Assemble to order" model.

The Business Unit Manager will be responsible for the P&L, overseeing supply, factory, and analyst areas (documentation, manufacturing, stock replenishment orders, engineering, etc.), ensuring delivery compliance, profitability margins and customer satisfaction.

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead the team, define objectives, manage performance and maintain team engagement.
  • Ensure the supply chain, with a strong focus on stock control.
  • Ensure on-time deliveries, according to the standards of the Industrial Pumps, mainly ISO 5199/2858 & ASME B73.1
  • As responsible for P&L and profit margin, prepare the annual budget in conjunction with the teams involved.
  • Guarantee compliance with processes and procedures.
  • Generation and monitoring of KPIs (on-time performance, order processing – customer delivery, profit margin, invoicing deliveries and bookings)
  • Accounts receivable monitoring
  • Support Sales team by providing competitive lead times and costs for Industrial Pumps
  • Direct communication with clients
  • Monthly order (delivery) forecast
  • Monitor production schedules to be in compliance with planning (forecast vs. delivery)
  • Sales & Operations Meeting - Maintain communication with the sales team to obtain input on market behavior and collaboration between functions.
  • Prepare area indicators and their quarterly presentation to the company's leadership team.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering. MBA or similar is a plus
  • Experience in mass production of tools or electromechanical equipment for industry, with inventory and delivery times being the business driver.
  • Experience in commercial / sales activities
  • Understanding of financial indicators
  • Team management
  • Excellent communication and mediation skills
  • Technical drawing (interpretation)
  • Advanced command of English
