Corporate Development Manager

Overview: This role will focus on corporate development and assisting in consulting and investment projects across Emmersion's portfolio companies, including handling operational tasks related to investment projects, allowing the Managing Director to focus on more strategic decisions, investment and portfolio development.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Customer Engagement, Outreach Efforts:

  • Work with the Managing Director to create business units and corporate development strategies to grow the portfolio companies with a strong emphasis on Apertura.
  • Develop and maintain primary relationships with key customers by reaching out/cold calling/sourcing.
  • Primary point of contact for customers, ensuring timely responses and resolutions.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to align customer engagement strategies and improve outreach with the ultimate goal to increase conversion rate.
  • Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage potential clients and limited investment partners.
  • Participate in networking events and relevant conferences to promote Emmersion, its companies and its initiatives.

2.Investment Project Support, Commercial Strategies:

  • Shadow the Managing Director: Assist in structuring investment projects, preparing necessary documentation, and attending meetings and events (online – in person).
  • Attend meetings with investment banks and different types of contacts within the Manager's and Managing Director's network.
  • Assist the Managing Director in various Business Advisory projects collaborating on strategic initiatives and project development.
  • Assist in developing and implementing commercial strategies that align with the company's goals, like expanding market share, and entering new markets (Apertura and OneSource).

3.X- Functional Collaboration:

  • Help build a robust professional network in Sao Paulo to facilitate collaboration and partnership opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that customer-related projects and investment opportunities are effectively developed.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to share insights and updates on customer relations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills in English (Written and Verbal)
  • Experience working with U.S. customer facing roles.
  • Proficient in using digital media and LinkedIn to build professional networks and connect with potential partners and clients.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in relevant roles.
