The Role

As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you'll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You'll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients – which means some of the biggest in the world.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and provision storage volumes across production, test, and DR environments.
• Monitor storage usage and optimize performance.
• Participate in CAB (Change Advisory Board) reviews and ensure compliance with operational standards.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, and security teams.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience with IBM z/OS mainframe environments.
• Strong knowledge of DASD and tape storage systems.
• Proficiency in tools such as DFSMS, DFSMShsm, ISMF and IDCAMS.
• Ability to write and troubleshoot JCL (Job Control Language) and automation scripts.
• Understanding of disaster recovery procedures, data replication, and performance tuning.
• IPC management (Incident, Problem, Change)
• Advanced English

Soft Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and risk awareness in critical environments.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle production incidents.
• Effective communication and teamwork across cross-functional teams.
• Proactive mindset for identifying improvements and automation opportunities.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree 
• Preferred certifications (not a must have, but welcome):
  • IBM Certified Specialist – Storage Technical Solutions
  • ITIL Foundation
  • Other relevant industry credentials.
